Replacing my Teclast X98 Air 3G damaged LCD Panel.

This is a follow up post for my Teclast X98 air 3G battery repair post. You can check out that post here . Damaging a perfectly fine LCD panel while replacing a battery that cost a lot less …..how dumb is that… :( Before I decided to go forward in replacing the LCD panel, I did some digging on the internet but I could not find much information on the internet regarding replacement of the LCD panel for this particular tablet. After searching around for the replacement LCD panel cost and comparing the cost of getting a new tablet of a similar size, I concluded that it is more economical to take the risk to repair the tablet. Replacing the badly bloated battery on my Teclast X98 Air 3G dual boot tablet.

Recently, my trusty x98 tablet have been behaving very badly when it is running on its batteries. It will run out of power even when the remaining power level reading on Windows 10 shows that it has about 90% charge left. The tablet has also lost the ability to power on from its battery. It needs to be connected to the USB power supply in order to power on and boot to Windows/Android. After a few months of “poor battery” performance, I noticed that the colour in the center of the LCD display has started to “discoloured”. Then one day, when the tablet (with the screen facing up) is placed on the table, it seems to be able to spin slightly. At this point, I kind of know that the battery has bloated inside the tablet. This is not good. So, I took my tools and pry open the back cover. True enough the battery is badly bloated. The expanded battery sandwiched against the back cover has created pressure onto the LCD, causing the LCD colours to display incorrectly. Time to repl
